Terms and Conditions

Homepage slot auctions. All times are UTC+3 where shown on the site. Amounts are USD.

1. What is sold

A slot is a fixed position (#1 to #5) in the server list on the MinecraftList homepage for one 15-day cycle. Cycle dates are shown before bidding opens. Placement is labelled Featured. Vote counts and other rankings are not affected. Traffic volume is not guaranteed.

2. Who may bid

You must hold a MinecraftList account that owns an approved server listing created at least 14 days before the bid. The listing you bid with is the one shown in the slot. Accounts barred after a prior non-payment may not bid until the bar lapses. Servers affiliated with the site operator are disclosed on the results page if they win.

3. Bids

Bids are sealed offers in whole US dollars at or above the $100 minimum. A bid is binding once placed. You may raise, lower or withdraw it until the published close. The server clock decides whether a bid arrived before close. Each bidder account may win one slot per cycle unless the auction states otherwise.

4. Close and award

At close, each slot goes to the highest current bid. Equal bids resolve in favour of the earlier bid. Winning prices and winner names are published after close. Losing amounts are published without names.

5. Payment

Winners pay by PayPal or bank transfer using the reference code on their results page. PayPal payments are due within 48 hours of close. Bank transfers must be initiated within 48 hours and received within 5 business days. The bidder bears transfer fees. A slot goes live only after payment is confirmed and the listing passes review. Late confirmation does not extend the cycle.

6. Non-payment

If payment is not confirmed by the deadline, the award is forfeited, the slot is offered to the next highest bidder at that bidder's own bid, and the forfeiting account is barred from the following cycle.

7. Review and removal

We may decline or remove a listing that links to malicious or cloaked destinations, promotes piracy or unauthorised clients, violates Mojang's usage guidelines or our listing rules, or is offline for most of the cycle. A removal under this clause is refunded pro rata for unused days.

8. Outages and traffic

If the homepage is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours, the affected days are refunded pro rata. If site-wide daily uniques fall below the trailing 30-day average for three or more days of the cycle, the slot is extended by the shortfall. There are no other refunds.

9. Reporting

Winners receive raw IP copies, unique IPs and a joins estimate daily in their Sponsor Portal. The estimate is an estimate.

10. Records and disputes

We keep the full bid history with server timestamps, the close result, payment records and an audit log of administrative access to sealed bids. A bidder may request the audit entries for an auction they took part in. Disputes are handled by email within 14 days of close.

11. Privacy

Your bidder name is public. Contact and billing details are used only for the auction, invoices and payment matching. See the Privacy Policy.

12. Invoices and tax

An invoice is issued for every confirmed payment. Prices exclude any VAT or sales tax that may apply in your billing country.
